Sakis @ Yahoo! Groups

Sakis has many Yahoo! Groups. In fact one of the largest comunity about Sakis: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/sakis-star/ (has 1396 members last time I checked) is a Yahoo! Group but lately these lists have been taken over by spammers! I constantly receive messages about anything you can think of.

I wonder why that is?!? I tried contacting their moderators but wasn't too persistant. I supose I will have to try again soon.

Also I noticed that members don't seem to post much any more, although this forum seems to be flourishing.

I saw that Della, those Yahoo groups seem to be taken over by spammers recently. I think that is absolutely disgusting when spammers post all that junk that is not Sakis related. You're right, I saw not many people go on it nowadays as they used to be. I keep getting spam about sex and dating and drugs in my Yahoo mailbox. I am fed up of deleting them, bad enough I have bulk mail in my Yahoo account which has continuous amount of junk especially advertising let alone spam from a Sakis Yahoo group.

I think one of the reasons real fans don't post any more is that. I wouldn't be surprised if many members changed their settings to "no mail". If spam really bothers you, that's an option you know. Receive messages from one or two groups tops and forget about the rest.

I think you are right there Della, I might even think about doing that myself.

I think the members in the Yahoo groups should be persuaded to join here instead, away from the spam and crap.

Please don't persuade anyone. Just make sure people know that we exist. Don't tell them that this place is "better" than the Yahoo Groups. They will join us if they think it's worth it, not if we tell them what to think.

Of course it is your opinion Mal but in my opinion is those groups are plagued with spam recently and I don't want people to be in an environment where it is ruined with s**t. I wouldn't because I think spam is a mess.

I think it's bulls**t 2 have those spams around.

From those Yahoo Groups, I STILL get spam in my Yahoo mailbox. I just wish people would ban them and delete their messages. I don't think you can remove the messages in those groups or banning them. If it was here, they would be banned immediately.

The Yahoo groups STILL have endless amounts of spam in them and it should be done something about.

Oh god! I see those damn f***in things 2.

A few days ago I forgot to say, I changed my email settings in the Yahoo groups I am members of which are heavily spammed to show only on web because I am sick to the back teeth of the damn spam and I am fed up of removing it from my Yahoo mailbox.
