O Σάκης Ρουβάς γεννήθηκε στην Κέρκυρα. Πολύ σύντομα, η μουσική και το τραγούδι έγιναν μέρος της ζωής τους. Οι συμμαθητές του σίγουρα θυμούνται το αξέχαστο πάρτυ αποφοίτησης, όπου ο Σάκης ήταν αναμφίβολα ο star του show, αφού τραγούδησε τις μεγαλύτερες επιτυχίες του Elvis και των Beatles.

Η Ενόργανη Γυμναστική ήταν το άλλο του πάθος, στο οποίο κατέκτησε εξαιρετικά εθνικά βραβεία. Διακρίθηκε επίσης στο άλμα επί κοντώ και ως εξαίρετο ταλέντο που ήταν, έγινε μέλος της Ελληνικής Εθνικής Ομάδας.

Ο Σάκης έκανε την πρώτη επαγγελματική του εμφάνιση στην Αθήνα, το 1981 στο Show Center και ήταν εκεί που τον ανακάλυψε η Polygram, προσφέροντας του το πρώτο δισκογραφικό συμβόλαιο.

Μόλις μερικούς μήνες μετά, έκανε το απίστευτο ντεμπούτο του, με την παρουσίαση του στο Φεστιβάλ Τραγουδιού Θεσσαλονίκης. Το τραγούδι "Πάρτα" σε μουσικη του Νίκου Τερζή και στίχους του Γιώργου Παυριανού, κέρδισε το πρώτο βραβείο και ο Σάκης απέκτησε την πρώτη του εμπειρία από ενθουσιώδεις θαυμαστές, που αμέσως ένιωσαν ότι ένα νέο αστέρι θα γεννιόταν!

Από τότε, τα πράγματα εξελίχθηκαν γρήγορα για τον νεαρό performer. Το πρώτο του solo album, με τίτλο "Σάκης Ρουβάς" κυκλοφόρησε μία μέρα μετά το φεστιβάλ και η νεολαία από όλη την Ελλάδα έδειξε την αγάπη της για τον Σάκη Ρουβά, χαρίζοντας στον δίσκο του τρομερή επιτυχία και κάνοντας τον Νο. 1!

Stands και αφίσες του Σάκη Ρουβά γέμισαν τα δωμάτια των κοριτσιών, ενώ τα Μέσα Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης στην Ελλάδα μιλούσαν για έναν νέο star! Σύντομα, οι αναστεναγμοί έγιναν ουρλιαχτά και τα live του γίνονταν το καθιερωμένο άρθρο σε όλα τα είδη των περιοδικών.

Το δεύτερο album του με τίτλο "Μην Αντιστέκεσαι" -επίσης σε σύνθεση του Νίκου Τερζή- κυκλοφόρησε τον Σεπτέμβριο του 1992 καθιστώντας πλέον τον Σάκη ως έναν κορυφαίο performer στη μουσική σκηνή.

Τον Οκτώβρη του 1993, κυκλοφόρησε το τρίτο του album σε μουσική του Αλέξη Παπαδημητρίου και στίχους της Ελένης Γιαννατσούλια. Η αγάπη των θαυμαστών μετατρέπεται σε εμμονή και ο Τύπος ασχολείται με τον Σάκη καθημερινά πια, αφού αυτός έχει γίνει must για όλες τις εκδόσεις!

Ο χειμώνας του 1994 βρίσκει τον Σάκη να συνεργάζεται με τον συνθέτη Νίκο Καρβέλα και τη στιχουργό Ναταλία Γερμανού. Το αποτέλεσμα αυτής της συνεργασίας είναι το big bang "Αίμα, δάκρυα κι ιδρώτας". Τραγούδια όπως το "Ελα μου" και "Ξανά" έγιναν απίστευτα hits.

Ο Σάκης καλείται να υπηρετήσει τη θητεία του, γεγονός στο οποίο τα media έδωσαν απίστευτες διαστάσεις. Μερικούς μήνες αργότερα, ο Σάκης κυκλοφορεί το νέο του album. Eφόσον η επιτυχία του προηγούμενου ήταν τεράστια, ο Σάκης συνεργάζεται ξανά με τον συνθέτη Νίκο Καρβέλα και τη στιχουργό Nαταλία Γερμανού για να δημιουργήσουν μαζί άλλο ένα hit album, το "Τώρα αρχίζουν τα δύσκολα". Ετσι αρχίζει τις live εμφανίσεις του στη σκηνή του 'Χάους' μαζί με την Αννα Βίσση, για ένα αξέχαστο show!

Για τέσσερεις συνεχόμενες χρονιές μονοπωλεί τα Ελληνικα Μουσικά Βραβεία Ποπ Κορν, κερδίζοντας το βραβείο για καλύτερο Νέο Καλλιτέχνη, Καλύτερο Τραγούδι, Καλύτερη Σκηνική Παρουσία, και πολλά άλλα.

Ο καλλιτέχνης με την καλύτερη σκηνική παρουσία συνεργάζεται με μερικά από τα πιο μεγάλα ονόματα του χώρου, όπως τον Τόλη Βοσκόπουλο, την Αννα Βίσση και την Καίτη Γαρμπή.

Στις 19 Μαϊου 1997, ο Σάκης κάνει ένα βήμα προς την Ειρήνη και την Συμφιλίωση καθώς εμφανίζεται μαζί με τον Τούρκο pop star, Burat Kud σε μια 'δι-εθνική' συναυλία στην πράσινη γραμμή, στην Κύπρο.

Η συναυλία γίνεται πρώτη είδηση στις Ειδήσεις παγκοσμίως, προκαλώντας πολιτικές επιπτώσεις. Για τη συναυλία αυτή, ο Σάκης πήρε το βραβείο Ιpeksi, για την κατανόηση και την συνεργασία. Κατά τη διάρκεια του ίδιου έτους, το βραβείο αυτό πήρε και ο Γιώργος Παπανδρέου και ο Κωνσταντίνος Μητσοτάκης.

Ο Σάκης και ο Burak επίσης ηχογράφησαν μαζί το ντουέτο για την ταινία του Walt Disney "H Παναγία των Παρισίων". Από το 1996, ο Σάκης έχει το μεγαλύτερο fan club στην Ελλάδα, το "SRFC", με χιλιάδες μέλη από όλα τα μέρη της γης και από άλλες χώρες. Το Fan Club εκδίδει και το δικό του περιοδικό το "SRFC Newsletter", το οποίο ταχυδρομείται σε όλα τα μέλη.

Μετά από δύο χρυσούς και έναν πλατινένιο δίσκο, ο Σάκης πάιρνει μεταγραφή για την Minos-EMI. Το τελευταίο του album, "Κάτι από μένα", τον Δεκέμβρη του 1998 γνώρισε μεγάλη επιτυχία, λίγες μέρες μετά την κυκλοφορία του. Δύο μήνες αργότερα έγινε χρυσό.

Την κυκλοφορία ακολούθησε μία ζωντανή εμφάνιση σε ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα δισκοπωλεία, το Virgin Megastores, όπου χιλιάδες θαυμαστές, προκάλεσαν κυκλοφοριακό πρόβλημα στην πιο πολυσύχναστη Λεωφόρο της Αθήνας.

Το τελευταίο του album, δε μπορούσε παρά να εξυψώσει την επιτυχία του! Για άλλη μια φορά κέρδισε το βραβείο σκηνικής παρουσίας από τα Μουσικά Βραβεία Ποπ Κορν.

Ο Σάκης, που πάντα θέλει να κάνει εντυπωσιακές εμφανίσεις στη σκηνή, χρησιμοποιώντας όλα του τα τραγουδιστικά και χορευτικά προσόντα έκανε μια εμφάνιση άνευ προηγουμένου, τον Οκτώβρη του 1998, όταν εμφανίστηκε φορώντας μία φούστα ειδικά φτιαγμένη για αυτόν από τον παγκοσμίας φήμης σχεδιαστή Valentino.

Ο Σάκης όχι μόνο είχε μια υπέροχη εμφάνιση στη σκηνή, τραγουδώντας το νέο του album, αλλά απασχόλησε όλα τα περιοδικά και τα εξώφυλλα,αφού ο Valentino προωπικά είχε σχεδιάσει όλα τα κοστούμια, ειδικά για τον Σάκη.

Η νέα χιλιετία βρίσκει τονΣάκη στο studio, ηχογραφώντας το τελευταίο του album "21ος Ακατάλληλος", που κυκλοφόρησε τον Μάρτιο του 2000. Για άλλη μια φορά, χτύπησε την κορυφή των chart, από την πρώτη μέρα της κυκλοφορίας του και βρίσκεται ακόμη στις πρώτες θέσεις των Ελληνικών chart!

Ο Σάκης συνέχισε με live εμφανίσεις στην Αθήνα, μετά τη Θεσσαλονίκη όπου έδωσε ένα καταπληκτικό show, μαζί με την Καίτη Γαρμπή. Τραγούδησε στο Βiο Βiο της Αθήνας, όλα τα παλιά και νέα του hits!

Kατά τη διάρκεια των εμφανίσεων του στην Αθήνα, γίνεται η πρόταση στον Σάκη από την Pepsi, να πρωταγωνιστήσει στο νέο διαφημιστικό της καλοκαιρινής καμπάνιας. Αυτό ήταν μεγάλο γεγονός για τα ΜΜΕ, καθώς κανένας άλλος Ελληνας καλλιτέχνης δεν είχε ποτέ παρόμοια πρόταση.

Την παραγωγή στο spot είχε μία Βρετανική ομάδα που ήρθε στην Αθήνα ειδικά γι αυτό. Το αποτέλεσμα ήταν πάρα πολύ καλό, αφού το σενάριο γράφτηκε ειδικά για τιν Σάκη, ώστε να ταιριάζει στο image του και την επιρροή που έχει στο νεαρό θηλυκό κοινό του.

Ξανά, ο Σάκης σχολιάζεται για τις πράξεις του και δέχεται συγχαρητήρια όχι μόνο από τους μόνιμους θαυμαστές του αλλά και σε εθνικό επίπεδο!

Μόλις τελειώνουν οι live εμφανίσεις του στην Αθήνα, ξεκινά την καλοκαιρινή του περιοδεία, με την υποστήριξη της Pepsi.

The Sa'kis Royva's was given birth in Corfu. Very shortly, the music and the song became part of their life. The Eno'rgani Gymnastics was his other passion, in which it conquered exceptional national rewards. The Sa'kis made his first professional appearance in Athens, in 1981 in the Show Center and it was there that him you discover the Polygram, offering his first djskografjko' contract.
