About the pictures on this forum

We all love huge photos of Sakis (come on girl you know you like them, the bigger the better).

The problem is that not everyone has a fast internet connection and huge pictures take a huge amount of time to show up.

If you are using ImageShack.us you can post thumbnails on the threads (they only take a small amount of time to show up) and then we can click on the pictures and view them on their original sizes. That would be a huge help for people with slow internet connections.

My connection has been fine recently, no problems at all.
Ever since I got a new tower for my computer, I have had very little or in fact, no problems at all.

The alternative would be to post the pictures in more reasonable sizes. I think that would be fine too, if it's only done occassionally. Thumbnails should do most of the time.

And actually, I personally have a very fast Internet connection, but I've noticed that the bottleneck for me actually is ImageShack. Sometimes the pictures posted there take "forever" to load, while I can download pictures from other webpages in just split seconds!

Yes Malin, I've noticed same thing I usually have problems only with photos that has been uploaded to imageshack. Other pages work just fine at least with my connection.

Same with me Mal, I have an ultra fast internet connection and Imageshack has been taken a little while to load, while normal websites are much quicker.
Thumbnails are fine with big images but small or medium ones are best left as it is.
Della has a good point there I agree but best used for large or huge images.
My old PC kept shutting off all the time and sometimes slow but with the new tower, it has been fine and faster with no problems.
